Masupe Ward area Councilor in Chipata Central Constituency has pledged to work with the local people in a bid to deliver development to the area.
Speaking on the Big Issue Radio Program on Feel Free FM, Johnstone Silungwe said the ward is engulfed in a number of challenges that call for concerted efforts in order to be alleviated.
Mr. Silungwe has cited the lack of access to clean and safe drinking water, lack of schools and health facilities as some of the pressing issues in Masupe ward.
The civic leader says he is working in close collaboration with the local people and other stakeholders in an effort to bring the much needed development to the ward.
Meanwhile, Mr. Silungwe has called on the people of Masupe Ward and the country at large to take seriously the preventive measures against the spread of Covid 19.
He has also encouraged members of the public to avail themselves to the Covid vaccines to reduce the spread of the virus
